Who are they?
One of the UK's leading bookmakers, offering customers betting and gambling opportunities on desktop, mobile, tablet and on the high street.
What did I do?
Owner of a number of William Hill's core digital products, determining the overall direction and strategy for each initiative. My team and I have delivered a range of innovative and user-friendly platforms and products to support the company's global goals across both digital and retail, offering localisation solutions for all overseas markets.
I oversaw the design and development of William Hill’s multi-lingual content management platform, driving growth at scale to meet OKRs that in turn led to an operation cost saving of over £2 million by 2019. Additionally, I defined the UX approach for the CMS platform and native apps to establish a clear product design vision from initial concept to completion, overseeing the full design and development life-cycles.
In 2019, I re-evaluated William Hill’s Search functionality, improving the indexing and presentation of results from a UX perspective to enhance the customer experience, leading to a user uplift of 11.36%. I also helped to deliver a number of innovative proof-of-concept features including a football-only app and a lite version of the sportsbook plus William Hill’s first foray into augmented reality, virtual reality and voice-driven apps.
I reviewed all concepts and approaches to ensure the product was “future proof” and able to incorporate new developments further down the development roadmap, leading four multi-functional teams kn Poland, Gibraltar and the United Kingdom during my time with the company.
